Peter Shellito
Peter graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in environmental earth sciences in 2009. He has since worked as a volunteer teacher and as an engineering technician. His interests lie in understanding and modeling the water and energy fluxes that constitute the terrestrial water cycle. His work combines remotely-sensed data with ground-based measurements to improve estimates of soil hydraulic properties (SHPs). Hydrologic land surface models use SHPs in assessing droughts, floods, and climate change.
